What the Gospel is
This world is full of sickness, suffering, and death, that we cannot avoid. The Bible teaches us that this is because our relation with our Creator and our Father in heaven has been severed as the result of mankind’s sin. All the good we can do is not enough to change this. So Jesus Christ took the form of a man and came to this world, to be punished on the Cross in place of us, for our sins, and was resurrected from the grave three days after. This is the center of the Gospel.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (I John 4:10))
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
(Romans 10:9~13)
